A royal wedding is approaching–Prince Harry and American actress Meghan Markle will be married on May 19, 2018.

According to Town & Country, the couple met on a blind date in July 2016. They dated for about four to six months before news of their relationship was leaked to the public. Meghan loved getting to know Harry privately first, while he reportedly knew she was the one from the first time they met. His friends agree, saying they haven’t seen him this happy in a long time.

On November 27, Prince Charles of Wales (Harry’s father) announced Harry and Meghan’s engagement.

Although the extended royal family will be seen at the wedding, rumors have been spreading about whether Markle’s family will attend. An article from People shares that Meghan’s mother will be there and is staying in a hotel with Meghan the night before. The bride’s two half siblings will not be there, as they have never had a close relationship. The most drama surrounds her father, Tom Markle. In recent days, sources have revealed that he staged a photo shoot with the paparazzi. Markle does not want to embarrass his daughter, so he announced that he will not attend the wedding.

The 12:00 noon ceremony will be held at St. George’s Chapel, according to Us Magazine. Six hundred people were invited to the ceremony and to the first reception, but only 200 close family members and friends were invited to the second reception afterwards. A Royal UK source reports that before the receptions, the newlyweds will ride around Windsor in a horse-drawn carriage so that the public will get a chance to celebrate.

A Lifetime TV Movie titled Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance aired on Sunday, May 13. The movie follows the relationship buildup of the two (played by Murray Fraser and Parisa Fitz-Henly), from the moment they met until just before the wedding.
